The New York State Developmental Disabilities Planning Council (DDPC) is seeking information from individuals with developmental disabilities, their families and interested others. DDPC Funded FASD Video Goes National The New York State Developmental Disabilities Planning Council (NYS DDPC) is happy to announce that a patient education video addressing the prevention of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) is scheduled to begin airing in hospitals across America on the Newborn Channel. To participate in certain federal community development and housing programs, the State of New York must prepare a five-year Consolidated Plan and an annual Action Plan and provide opportunities for citizens to participate in its development. As part of this process, New York State invites interested persons to review and comment on the five-year Consolidated Plan for 2011-2015 and the Annual Action Plan for 2011 during an upcoming public comment period. All DDPC meetings are held in Albany, NY unless otherwise noted. Under law, the New York State Developmental Disabilities Planning Council (DDPC) meetings and DDPC Standing Committee meetings are open meetings. If the public wants to attend, they can attend as observers. Participants may be asked to leave during breaks in the deliberations and when the meeting goes into executive session.
